Illustrator Inspiration
This project here was a two part project for a graphic design class I took. I’ve got the process books for both parts as well!
Part 1
The first part was to choose a scene from an illustrator who’s work you enjpy and try to replicate it. I chose Walt Disney’s Old Men because I forgot that Jhonen Vasquez could work for the project. Oh well. Still very fond of their work. I couldn’t pick one scene, so I combined the mirror from Snow White with the dinosaurs from the Rite of Spring portion of Fantasia.
Part 2
The second part was to make your own take on the original work. So in my case it was two characters in the foreground with some sort of entity in the background. Enter Soren, Judaw, and Retcon the Wraith. I accidentally made the original file size absolutely massive, which unfortunately affects the loading speed of the process book. Still had fun with this one though.
